This subscription (billed monthly only for duration) offers (50) premium oysters for six consecutive months. Included with your 1st pick-up is an OPO shucking knife to welcome you to the club. Please order through the last Friday of the month, to receive your oysters the 1st Friday of the following month. Any orders received between the last Friday of the month and 1st Friday of the next month, will begin the following month (e.g., order on 7/4/23 for the 1st pick-up on 8/4/23).
We’re offering local pick-up at The Retriever Bar & Decoy Bottle Shop (Chestertown). Enter a shipping address & select “None (Local Pick-Up)” as the shipping option at checkout. Please bring a cooler for long-distance pickups.
Each order comes complete with oysters and important info on the featured farm and farmer(s). While every month is slated to feature a unique farm, they are subject to availability. We may need to swap out oysters and/or change the rotation based on farm conditions, but we guarantee (50) premium oysters every month for the duration of the club membership.

How to properly store oysters: place immediately in fridge and cover with a damp towel. Do not allow to sit in standing water. Avoid rough handling prior to shucking. They’ll stay optimally fresh for raw consumption for 7-10 days from harvest and up to two weeks for cooked consumption.
How to properly shuck oysters: use a knife (OPO Knife) to shuck from the hinge or the bill. There are plenty of video tutorials online (see our IGTV), or just ask your handy neighbor! You can also use heat (oven, grill, microwave even) to get them to pop open and then cut the meat free. We don’t recommend screwdrivers or rocks!
How to properly enjoy oysters: anyway you want! Raw, grilled, baked, fried. Naked, hot sauce, lemon & horseradish…the possibilities are endless! This is a chance to get creative with nature’s perfect food.
